DESCRIPTION:Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE) Program\n\nThe CAPCE program is uniquely designed for nurses (RPN\, RN\, NP) to develop their leadership and expertise skills in hospice palliative care across all healthcare sectors. \nDuration: Approximately 5 months \nFee: $250 \nCourse Components: \n\nFour\, 4-hour virtual in-class Case Based Learning sessions\nCoaching Sessions (6-8) 2-hours each\n Two Practical Application Assignments\nSelf directed reading\nIndependent Online Modules x 6\nFour Peer-to Peer exchanges\n\nAll course components are mandatory\, including attendance at all virtual in class learning sessions. \nPre-requisite \nTo be eligible to participate in the CAPCE program\, the following pre-requisites are required: \n\nFundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care Program\nA minimum of 1-year experience caring for people with a progressive\, life-limiting illness\nAbility and interest to function as a Resource Nurse\, providing primary level support and advanced level knowledge and skills for care team members in his or her organization\nAbility and interest to coach others\, facilitate change and be a role model\nSensitivity to the impact of attitudes\, behaviours\, life experiences\, values\, thoughts and feelings on the well-being and quality of life from the perspective of all partners in care\n\n\n\nStart Date: \nSeptember 3\, 2024 \nRegistration Deadline: \nAugust 20\, 2024 \nTime: \n11:00 AM – 3:00 PM \nRequired Sessions: \n\nSept. 3\, 2024*\nSept. 10\, 2024\nOct. 15\, 2024\nDec. 10\, 2024\n\n*Sept. 3rd time is \n11:00 am – 12:00 pm \n\n\nRegister
